MEET OUR VISIONARIES
Susan Ligon has been a part of the Christian publishing industry for 25 years. Susan currently gives leadership to the Ligon Group, a literary branding firm based in the Dallas, Texas area. In her 25 years in the publishing industry, Susan has served both in developmental and executive management in the areas of brand management, product development, marketing and public relations. She has worked with literally dozens of authors most recently focusing her time and attention on some of the most successful and significant brands in Christian publishing and ministry including Max Lucado, The Believe Campaign, Women of Faith, Christine Caine, Jennie Allen, and Craig Groeschel.
Prior to starting her own business, Susan served Word Publishing for several years as both Vice President of Public Relations and Vice President of Marketing. During her career Susan also spent time at Baylor University as Director of The Student Foundation, an elite student organization involved in recruitment, fundraising and student activities.
Greg Ligon has been with Leadership Network, non-profit organization dedicated to multiplying innovation and leadership in the Church, since 1997. He currently serves as Vice President and Publisher. Over the last 10 years Greg has provided executive leadership for the publishing imprints associated with Leadership Network. Since taking on this role, he has built a team that has not only grown the number of titles published annually in the Jossey Bass series but has also spearheaded development of the Leadership Network Innovation Series launched in 2005 with Zondervan. Together these two imprints have produced more than 75 titles targeted at the church leader market. Greg is currently providing leadership for a new imprint being launched through Harper Collins Christian Publishing – NEXT: Leadership Network Resources.
During his time at Leadership Network, he has also directed the Multisite Churches Leadership Community, Leadership Training Network and spearheaded strategic services for the organization. Greg is also one of the authors of The Multi-site Church Revolution and A Multi-site Church Road Trip. Prior to joining the LN team, Greg was responsible for creating and directing the United Methodist Campus Ministry at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He also served as senior associate pastor at First United Methodist Church in Waco, Texas.
Susan and Greg reside in Murphy, Texas with their two sons, Daniel and Andrew, and two cute but lazy dogs, Sweetie and Ellie.
